About

The BioBank was established in 2021 as the designated sample hub for the Mining Microbiome Analytics Platform (M-MAP) project, the largest investment in planned natural resource genomic sequencing in the history of the sector.

Between 2021 and 2024, we received, processed, and biobanked over 15,000 environmental and DNA samples in an effort to support research into novel sustainable mining practices on a global scale.

Today, we continue to support researchers across multiple fields using the tools and expertise at our disposal. From project planning to sampling to archiving, our lab provides a breadth of services in an effort to create reliable, high-quality science. Our ongoing projects span providing support for mining, agriculture, eDNA, and biotechnology sectors.
